Default RE: Just no luck at all!

I started with U Control in the 1950s as a kid and gas motors are what I like, don't ask me why . . .
There are lots of us here, and even more at fields across the country, who understand completely without needing to know why. Electric motors are nice and quiet, getting as powerful as glow and now even gas, but they lack soul. They're not noisy and dirty like airplanes are SUPPOSED to be. I used to fly two-channel gliders (in the 70's) and that was lovely and quiet. But I haven't flown one since I figured out r/c powered flight. Small glow can be annoying - in that frequency between mosquito-in-a-tent and nagging wife; but you get deaf to it after a few years. God is good.

I just get a huge kick out of the guys who fly electric and then "detail" their warbirds with airbrushed exhaust stains - usually WAY more and way darker than the "real thing" would have been in service.
