Slic,
I started 23 years ago and built my first plane from a kit, there were no micro's or ARF's or RTF's back then., nor were there any simulators. I had to risk my $$ to learn to fly. I've planted my share of planes into the hard ground.
You don't learn much from building an ARF, you assemble it not build it. An RTF you will learn nothing.
Your statement you either fly or don't fly really made no sense in relation to what I said.
Opps sorry it made sense to me, but then and again I am on my 2nd 12 pack.
Lets see youslap togetheran ARF and you fly or you don't fly or perhaps you buy anRTF and you fly or you don't fly.
But the REALEXTENTof RC is to build your own and learn the hard way from the ground up, not shortcuts like ARF, RTF orany crap like that.
60 yrs ago I got stranded on this planet and always learned the hard way on my own terms, sure I have been fooled now and then. So much so I could write a book about it and make a mil on what to avoid in life.
But RC is a Hobby and suppose to be fun
