So according to you this guy is probably not going to fly, just like alot of other newcomers who buy from NP and can't figure out the instructions or repair a problem that nearly all of them have.
If your on your second twelve pack by noon, you probably won't be flying either.
Yes the first thing to do with any RCProduct is try to fly or drive it and if there is a probelm you can not correct then you contact Tech Support and STATE there is a probelm and it's unflyable or undriveable. Being firm but not crazy or over antimated about it all and if you do it correctly they will issue you an RMA number. Then you ship back the defective product and they will fix or issue a new one sent to you, without further cost.
12 packs and batteries always run out and when I hit 16 beers I always retire to my shop to play with a plane or copter or 2 andthen take a nap.
