unfortunately with the RTF RTR market its not just the chinese stuff that you have to watch out for honestly on average ive had better luck with the imports than the domestics I've had a bunch of the cheap chinese boats that have never given me a issue till i try something wounderful like pop a 3s lipo where a 7.2 nimh belongs and "Smoke on the Water" takes on new meaning but with my aquacraft supervee brushless it came from tower with a faulty esc. I used to be a builder but now what i build is for display and the cheap foam if for crashing it hurts less when is just money and not money, time, blood, sweat, and tears in the bottom of the bucket your carrying back to the truck i have a whole fleet of rtf bird with the majority imports all with no issues but the first one i bought from the LHS the great planes electrifly select scale cessna was 1 1/4 ounces tail heavy and had a esc that burned out in 2 flights
I guess all I'm trying to say is sometimes the domestic "high quality" stuff from the big dealers suffers from the same problems as the mass produced cheap stuff and personally I am less upset having to fix a cheap plane than a so call expensive "high quality" piece from on of the big names

Thx man, you just said what I have been trying to say thru a beer bottle. You can get anything ya pay for and can assemble Kits,ARF, RTF or anything they want to call it. But the Proof is in the pudding as grandma used to say and if Someone goes and starts a thread about Customer Support. Then you dam bet ya something is wrong somewhere some how some way.
I spoke up for NitroPlanes because I never was done wrong by them, sure sometimes the product didn't deliever and I just called Tech Support and it was taken care of for me by them with a new product or even a better one than I ordered.
But I always speak to them with respect and inteligence>
