RE: Nitroplanes.com Absolute worst C/S
There seems to be a big confusion between Nitro planes quality and the Nitro planes servace .
As far as the planes , they are a distributor , they sell CMP (China Model Product & the knockoffs of CMP -Flymodels) , they sell FMS under the name airfield and probably about 7 other import factories .
I dont know what there business model is defined as -do they visit the factorys , have imput in the inspections , use the typical inspect at 20% manufacturing , then 50% then at the end of run .
I know with the latest arfs-EPO foam by FMS /Nitro lable AIRFIELD , I would hope that after seeing the good quality in these planes they would have worked on a better internal shipping box because the planes are good , but the inside foam box support will increase damage % .
So it seems that the better the inbound product is made and packed the less hoopla you will see on the internet not based on servace of Nitro planes but simple based on a seemless transaction between Customer and Nitro .
Now lets get to the customer servace -Nitro had and still has about 7 differant online operating names , the ones that was most notoriuos on the internet and RCU was Raidentech .
One of the all time worse on ebay and rcu , probably set a record that makes Banana Hobby look like IBM .
So how do things go bad ?? two way one the inbound product is simply bad and two the consumer is inexperienced for the product they are purchasing .
The problem with both is they do not have a typical customer servace line that we in the USA are so use to seeing with other RC majors and typical everyday retailers .
We want it fixed now , and we want to talk to a live person who makes us feel good about our problem .
The Nitro model of operation does not meet that need , they are a volume distributor that wants to move large volume at a great value price , they need containers and they need to meet MOQs in order to be instock .
When you buy from them you buy on perceived value and price , its that simple . you keep your fingers crossed that its ships withour a problem and you move on .
The experienced modeler knows you typically buy airframe only when buying any eletric models (personally I dont even know why Nitro keeps importing the turn keys planes when there consumer (the true RC guys knows the stuff is crap outside of the really nice frame )
When buying the other brands like CMP ect , again the experienced modeler knows what they are getting and what will be needed .
The problem is that the Nitro banner and the power of the net reaches out to the inexperinced person , if you even google rc-planes Nitro is sure to pop up under one of there banners and that my friends is good marketing .
So the problem as stated is that the normal guy/dad/mom trying to buy a toy for there kid may get over there head when shopping at Nitro .
They do what all of us warbird guys want to do when we joined the hobby , we want the P51 when we know we need the trainer .
Same with them , they want to coolest , the jets , the warbirds ect not know how to fly , charge , the dangers of lipos , ect ect .
So , should a guy have to fix a plane from Nitro , not really as a beginner or regular consumer but the site is not good enough to direct them to the easy stuff .
Its really that simple , match the plane with the experience of the purchasing consumer and you will drop you complaints by 25% min
