I am debating on a MVVS 80 or DA-100L. I have the latter and know what to expect with DA. There are some obvious tradeoffs here. Cost wise, the MVVS is cheaper no matter what config I go with for exhaust: pitts muffler, cannister, tuned pipe, etc. The thing I want to know is how smooth is this engine. I understand its crank is supported by four bearings and the weight/mass help absorb vibration. I cannot think that it would be as smooth as a twin but I have not seen one. What about mid-range response? What exhaust setup give the best overall response for 3D?

By-the-way this is going on 33% Extra, I fly at about 1000-ft above sealevel.
