Default RE: Trainer Plans - Recommendations

Sig's LT-25 is a kit but full size plans come with the kit so no doubt are available from Sig. Scratch building would not be hard though the laser cut kit is is a piece of cake to build. It is all balsa (no ply), a tail dragger so nice for grass, is very light, uses a .25 engine though it is large enough at 62 inch wing span to see well. It is very light and flies exceptionally well on the wing and is a great trainer and because it is all balsa, is easy to repair. The one draw back is that due to its lightness and generous dihedral, it does not make a good gusty or cross wind day flier.
