just a thought.
Doug, I hate to disagree with you cause I have all the respect for you in the world and I hope you know that. BV came across the HYSOL while looking for an epoxy that would perform, and be easy to install. If we all had hundreds of dollars to investigate adhesives that work well on our planes, we'd have found it too. What that company did is then repackage this product and sell it for a particular application at a profit. Which is fine. If he can get $200, more power to him. My guess is, someone in the hobby that had knowledge of HYSOL, noticed that the BV product aeropoxy was the same as whatever he knew about HYSOL. There is no way that BV or associate stood up and said "this is the same as HYSOL 9462". Someone else had to draw the link. And then they shared it with the community. As far as the other products here, I'm not saying don't support your local hobby shop. Hell I spend on average several hundred a month at my LHS. If they go out of business ever, it's not gonna be because I wasn't supporting them. And in some cases, it makes sense to just go to the LHS and pick up a $13.00 tube of aeropoxy rather than wait on MCmaster to send it to you for $9.00. While on this subject there is another thread on RCU about geting 9462 for $6.60 a tube. But back to your orifginal message, I don't agree that BV or associates was responsible for bringing everyone to this product, it would have been a natural find for someone, of course I have to assume based on your message that no one was using this product in a jet application prior to aeropoxy coming on the market, which I don't know. But he sure didn't bring 4-40's and all the other stuff you can get at mcmaster. Which is really the reason I chimed in in the first place.

Here's the love.........and how's Toby?
