whats in a name?
if its the same plane its the same plane. Forget the badge engineering
Whats in a name? I would say alot! I have a Sig Rascal 110 in the hangar..a Sig Hog Bipe...a Sig LT-40...currently building a Sig Kougar. I have owned a Sig Rascal EP, Sig Komander, Sig Kadet, Sig Spacewalker etc. etc. Maybe it is just me, but something just don't seem right with buying a Sig designed aircraft that has the Sig name smudged out. I am probably in the minority though and I know most folks are probably ok with buying an LT-40 at half price without the Sig name, but I always have a soft spot for small american business trying to compete against foreign competition. I don't want to start an arguement here and as I said...I am probably the only here that sees a problem with buying one of those LT-40'S from nitroplanes, but Sig has been a giant in this hobby for years and have put out some darn fine product over many years. We should want to see a company like Sig remain viable for many years to come. I think it is ok for most folks if everything goes overseas, but lets just keep at least one or two good ones around here please? Sig is a good one and if you have ever owned a Hog Bipe or some of the other great Sig planes.....well this hobby wouldn't be the same without them!
