I will go with the packing tape but for a longer term fix there is 3M tape used for fixing greenhouses that is UV resistant. It is available in wide rolls and is ideal for fixing covering holes. Just clean the wing with acetone and stick the tape on. If possible extend the repair to lap around the le but I have fixed a few holes and providing you get the oil off, the tape never moves.
