Default Thinking About Getting Into Boating

Well guys Iam looking into getting an rc boat in about a month or two. Everyone seems to be hyped up about the Traxxas Titan on 6S...

I am looking to spend around $400 max and RTR only. I already have plenty of NiMh and Lipos laying around but none matching Lipos. I have only boated a couple of times on some old 9.6V toy boat with my uncle when I was a kid.

I've been building crawlers, scale trucks, drifters, short course trucks, and made the switch to electric already. My only nitro/gas is my Ofna 8.5 and my Baja 5B SS. Never really liked flying although I have a trainer plane.

The price on the Traxxas Titan is not so far off from the Pro Boat Widow Maker Brushless which I am comparing. I am looking for deep V's and I have huge lakes around where I live.

I figure the Titan is not a bad choice for a starter as I can progressively work my way up to 6S. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Btw I am not in any boating clubs or plan on racing just having fun when I'm not crawling or bashing!
