Default RE: Lockheed L 188 Electra, any model?

ORIGINAL: FNQFLYER

Electra L188a and C versions had Alison 501's fitted not T56's (that is a military engine,) also the Electra had either Hamilton Standard or Aeroresearch Props, the Ham Standards had rounded tips the Aeroresearch square tips. The Orion had Ham Standards fitted as ''standard''
The Neptune originally had only 2 x Radials the jey engines were fitted later to some variants
Slight nitpick - Aeroproducts, not Aeroresearch. Only KLM ordered the Electra with Hamilton Standards (aluminum instead of steel.)

Here's a shot of Chris Starleaf's 40" electric free flight L-188 Electra. What a neat little Park Flyer this would make, along the lines of the GWS Cargotrans/C130. Russ Farris

Video of the Electra in flight - scroll down the page, it's under the L-188 picture http://www.ffscale.co.uk/page3ll.htm
