Thanks Crank..... the Webra does indeed haul the coal. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the idle low enough to not make really high speed landings. Must be an air leak somewhere because it still runs too fast, even with the throttle barrel is fully closed. I ordered a new Webra TN-II to replace the old TN (which seized up for no apparent reason - no lean runs) as well as the new Perry carb I also tried. While I've got the engine out I'll closely check all the screws for tightness as well as the two gaskets these things use. I recall that I used a similar Webra Speed in the Troublemaker I flew in the 74 AMA Nats. In fact, the muffler I used in 74 is the same one I put on this Deception. (MAC's Flow-thru) The plane weighs in just shy of 9 lbs.
