Anybody still out there? Cannot believe I last posted here about 5 years ago. Still flying my Intruder a few times each year...its a prob of having 20-25 planes and trying to get through the whole fleet each year. Anyway I flew the Intruder this week. Showing its age with different sounds in the air as it ages! Still flies on rails though and makes nice landings. I think some of the sounds are either or both of (1) the forward wing slot is either widening or the ply "pin" is wearing down, so there is a little play there, and (2) the gap between the fuse and the stabs seems to be widening even though the halves are on tight. So the stab halves may be vibrating against the fuse in flight. I don't want to glue them on so maybe just some trim tape will stop any potential vibe there. Minor sounds though and I can fly her as is! Hoping you guys are well and still flying your Intruders with joy! BTW I am finally assembling a Dirty Birdy ARF I bought years ago, and got a new OS 65AX to put in her. And last but not least, I was fortunate to acquire a scratch built Kaos with retracts and ENYA 60 recently. All of a sudden I have three classic pattern planes. Life is good, haha!
