Next time put some warm water in a spray bottle and spray the outside of the sheeting and allow the water to soak in a couple minutes before trying to bent the sheeting around the structure. It doesn't take a lot of water, just enough to lightly wet the surface. This makes the balsa much more plyable for shaping.
