Default RE: Where can I find this stuff?

Hi schroedm,

Thats the problem with the ARTF generation, no imagination and no clue what you are after. Futaba wires and 1/4" diameter wiring loom stuff aint going to work on a "scale" model is it? [:'(]

You wont find anything that small a diameter. Been looking for a looooong time.

What you need is to take a 1mm diameter bit of piano wire. Wrap it in fuse wire, that way you have about a 2-3mm diameter spiral, using an electric drill as a constant speed device. That makes the job easy and neat and you can space the spirals as needed to get the scale look. Then slip on some heat shrink "red" or "black" to over the spiral created by the fusewire/piano wire. Shrink the tube. Now pull out the piano wire from the centre and if you want it very light, pull out the fusewire. or leave it in if you like if you want it to bend and stay in place.

Job done as a "modeller", not an ARF'er . . .
