Guys,
Does anyone know where I can get any small 'corrogated' tubing to simulate the red/black pipes on the Hawk undercarriage. Any colour will do...

Thanks

I would search around for non-splite wire loom - like this:
http://cableorganizer.com/wire-loom/...-wire-loom.htm
It comes in various diameters and colors.
If you can't find the right size/color in non-split, you can probably still use the split. It comes in as small as 1/4". More examples:

Hi schroedm,
Thats the problem with the ARTF generation, no imagination and no clue what you are after. Futaba wires and 1/4" diameter wiring loom stuff aint going to work on a "scale" model is it? [:'(]
You wont find anything that small a diameter. Been looking for a looooong time.
What you need is to take a 1mm diameter bit of piano wire. Wrap it in fuse wire, that way you have about a 2-3mm diameter spiral, using an electric drill as a constant speed device. That makes the job easy and neat and you can space the spirals as needed to get the scale look. Then slip on some heat shrink "red" or "black" to over the spiral created by the fusewire/piano wire. Shrink the tube. Now pull out the piano wire from the centre and if you want it very light, pull out the fusewire. or leave it in if you like if you want it to bend and stay in place.
Job done as a "modeller", not an ARF'er . . .

Here is another idea, the winding wire round another is a great idea, it does give a spiral result and I think the conduit in the picture is in the form of hoops round the tube, so I took a rod (carbon as this was handy for this example) and slid some of those tiny rubber 'o' rings you can get from Model Fixings onto it, spaced them roughly, slid over a piece of heatshrink and wham.....
This one is around 5mm diameter, but if you used a thin piece of plastic rod, and smaller 'o' rings, which I know you can get you could make very cheap and flexible conduit like in the picture.

Have you tried the 4D model shop in London?
http://www.modelshop.co.uk/
It's not failed me yet. A friend who's an architect introduced me to it, email them and sure they will have exactly what you need.
Cheers, Alex
