I am actually using Sherwin Williams automotive paints. The basecoats do not use a catalyst (reducer only). The clearcoat uses a mix of flat and clear (in addition to the reducer and hardner), to get the look (eggshell) that I wanted. I found their basecoats very easy to work with (I am a weekend warrior when it comes to automotive paints, not a pro...).
