Joe,
it is correct that you can download parameters from the JetCat ECU with the software from JetCat.
However, I would suggest not to use the original JetCat cable for this, it is way to expensive, and it's a RS232 connector (not many labtop's have RS232 any more). I use this from Digitech:

The GPS module works fine, it will show you travelled distance, max speed, max G load (not very accurate as it is calculated) etc.
JetCat also has a Air speed sensor (will show max speed, travelled distance etc)

The GPS and airspeed module should be available from JetCat or one of their distributors (I got my GPS and Airspeed sensor from Digitech)
