Hey Marvin and the others.
Hope you don't mind me checking out your project.
I like the nose gear mod. I used springs on my stock setup so I don't have to worry about a rubber band going bad.
I do have a question though. What servo are you using for the steering?
Hey there Testfly,
In the contrary thats why the RCUniverse its the IT!!!! cause we get to learn from each other so much and its an amazing way to help each other out aswell, the servo im using its GWS Naro Super @6vt its 69oz trq, i had to flip the servo 180dgrs to the front as it was hitting our modificatin on the nose gear door.
Here are some more pics guys
Hello Marvin,
I am building a ASM C-130 into a Fat Albert. I have also cut out the rear cargo doors. What is ths scale of the tank? Would you be interested is making and selling the servo plates for the nose gear? Great project!
Regards,
Gary
Hey Gary,
Nice project you got in your hands, Fat Albert its a good looking plane, I HOPE your going electric in yours jejejee, on our retired ASM C-130 we flew 170 flights all fantastic and great flights, to bad they dont make no more C-130's though, our Cargo Door is also operable, side door opens by cockpit all air gauges and switches on inside door, tank goes in and out and we will be dong take offs with it and do like a little operation flight land and tank comes out for shows its gonna be awesome, the tank its a 1/30 scale its perfect it weighs 13oz, has fully function features. Since we are Coast Guard we have painted the Tank white and will be in UN Schemes, i make my own decals as well, any size any color dry transfer...
I can sell you the plate only thing its i dont have a CNC now so its done by hand at our shop, let me know, hope we all can meet some day and fly all the C-130's together post some pics of your Fat ALbert Bob my dad n I would love for you guys to post pics aswell
