Default Tiny Wireless Systems

Has anyone used any system from TinyWireless??

I am looking at their 400mw CCD system and I would like some feedback before I go for it.

http://www.tinywireless.com/product_sets_400mwccd.html

Anyone who has experience with AV please let me know if this system is any good.

Thanks very much,
Andy

Never used one but I notice that the frequencies are not listed on the site.

Reusty2k3 ,

I just received one yesterday. I just bought the transmitter/receiver and they run on 1.2ghz.

I tried it yesterday on my 4*40 and I got a lot of snow/static in the video. I am going to try it again today on a different channel so I will try to post the results later.

Most of these small video systems are prone to vibration, so be sure you soft mount the tx. Also be sure to secure any wires you have floating around...

Good luck,
Bill

I tried my new tinywireless 400mw system again today on a plane and a helicopter and I am not to impressed with it.

I sent an email to tinywireless explaining my problems so I hope to hear from them soon.

I have cheap ebay systems that perform better then this one.

Maybe I just got a bad one.

Just be aware of the questionable nature of this seller...

Geeeeee Bill,
If everything out there worked as nice as your stuff what fun would that be?
I almost miss the days of endless experimenting and beating my head against a wall looking for the kind of video I have after switching to your systems!

Reusty2k3 ,

Thought I give you an update on the system I bought from tinywireless.

I'm still having problems with the unit and I have emailed tinywireless twice and NO response from him.

I guess I just wasted $60.00.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot,

I read a few things on the "other" forum, and EVERYTHING I heard was negative.

I would like to get some feedback about microwireless.net
I saw them in Fly RC mag, and I hope they are a bit more reputable.

I just bought a unit from microcameras.com.

I had a question about the transmitter and they answered it immediately. I will do business with them again.

I don't know anything about microwireless so I can't help you there.

Hey, are you making fun of me?

I was there once too (starting out and wanting to go cheap) and I always appreciated the good advice I got. So you see, it's all just a clever marketing plan to win the hearts and minds of APer's everywhere.

Bill
