Default INTELLIGENT FLIGHT DRIFT FREE HEAD TRACKER

I came across a thread where [link=http://intelligentflight.com]Intelligent Flight[/link] will soon be introducing their new Drift Free Head Tracker, at the moment it will be getting ready for beta testing. This will be the only head tracker that will not only perform camera pan, tilt but also roll!!!

See the video to get a better understanding of this.

I'm afraid that is not even close I was asked by those guys in Asia to beta test that Gyro base HT last year, but Intelligent Flight is much superior because it uses accelerometer for best stability. Like I said it will do camera tilt up and down, camera left and right and shoulder to shoulder roll tilt. So far all the other HT which are really rip offs from the original RC-TECH Gyro Control HT uses a gyro for pan and tilt only. But once you roll your head "slightly" (and that happens) the gyro type HT gets confused and doesn't know how to deal with the roll pitch so it starts to wander or drift.I have one of those gyro type HT and when I pan and tilt at the same time, it really starts to go funky. During flight and flying by video goggle, this can be annoying since you have to hit the recenter button every time it wanders.

Finnally a desent Head Tracker. I stopped using HT's because I always had to re-center the servos during a flight and it would make for a poor video as it recenters over and over again. Glad to see that there's a good company making a better product.
