Default Area of a wing

Hi fellas is there a formula for figuring the area of a tappered wing ? Also when figuring the loading do I have to take the stab loading into account?

Yep,

((Root chord + Tip chord) /2) X span=area

Example: (12" root + 8" tip) divided by 2=10" (MAC) X 60" span=600 sq. inches.

On a traditional planform (wing in front, tail in rear) the stab is not normally considered when figuring wing loading.
