I am building a spadstick. The wing chord was suppose to be 11" plus 2 5/8" for ailerons. Well I figured on 12" to add a few square inches of wing because I anticipated it might get a little heavy - anyway I set the spar at the measured place off the plans but forgot about the extra inch - the bottom line is that I have a wing with the spar at 31% of the chord (Including ailerons) instead of the normal 25% -
So the question is, do I scrap the wing or fly it?
The profile came out semi-semetrical with a total wing thickness of about 1 1/2" at the spar.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

thats fine. mine have been know to be a lot more off than that. i thought the cg of the spad 3d was 8.1/2 its spad that looks about right it will work they really don't care about small stuff like that as long as the props spinning there happy.

If your worried about having your cg and the location of the spare-don't worry. You can still set the CG whever you want it-I don't think the spare loacation is really that critical.
