As you read through this message you will probably think I am crazy but..oh well!!! I recently finished a Goldberg Tiger 60 and thought it would look really neat with winglets. What I thought would look really neat is to pattern a wing off of a Boeing 737-800 or Gulfstream IV aircraft. I am not looking to get crazy with spoilers, slats, etc. just design a wing with a bit of sweep, taper, flaps, ailerons & winglets. My problem is that I am not sure what the rib pattern should be as well as how the spars are arranged on a swept wing design. I am playing around with sketches and so forth but would like something a bit more informative & precise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey CX, that's a heck of a question and I have no answer for you. Sory. If you don't get a good response here, try asking the question in the "Scratch Buildig / Aircraft Design " fourm. Those guys will stear you in the right direction.

One thing to start thinking about though...
As you sweep the wing back, you move the Mean Aerodynamic Chord back.
This means that the more sweep, the more nose-heavy the plane becomes. So be prepared to either remove nose weight, add tail weight, or both.
