What would be a good computer program for simulating airflow instead of me building a wind tunnel and testing my stuff that way... Or for my seminar of wing tip vortex reduction would I be better off just building/using a wind tunnel?

I'm not sure about a program to purchase, but check out this site. There is a ton of info on it. Maybe even some software.

I found another site that I think you will find useful
http://sites.google.com/site/aerodyn...le-of-contents
Check part three, the third line, there is some software avaiable there as well as some of the other lines in that part.

For vortex stuff, you'll need 3d and it gets expensive
