That would be the charge jack I believe.
I used to fly not too far from you at Coyle field on Rt. 72 with the Pine Barren Modelers.
Pete

FWIW, I have a nice clean ATX 660 on CH 42. I had the lithium memory battery replaced some years ago.
If you're at all interested in it, drop me a PM. It's just sitting on the shelf, not being used.

pilotpete2, thanks for the offer but I have 2 of them.. I looked at it and ist not part of the charging system. its at the end of the nicads. I googled the data on the silver thing (klixon 3-s 4mm75a) , I believe its a thermal switch.

http://www.sselec.com/data/parts%20s...emostats-2.pdf.

anybody else have any info why its used?

And I thought I was the last person on earth still flying an Infinity 660 .

Love it. So much that when my old set was dropped I picked up a low timer set from *bay for $20 and made an 'as new' set from the best bits from each (well 95% from the *bay set).

I would like a good battery cassette (with the charge bit) as my second one suffered 'black wire' which killed the jack and the other circuitry near it.
