Come on Junk you can do better than that. If you were fishing I'd think you were having a hard time baiting your hook 😉

Anybody else ever get the feeling that they've seen the whole "Pro AMA VS Anti AMA" thing somewhere before ? As in , Hobbyists for the love of flying things FIRST , no matter the small details , since in that one most important detail we ARE all "one in the same"

An epic episode of star trek! Perhaps they should dig it out and re air it considering current events.

METV did about a month ago, Unfortunately what's happening right now has nothing to do with that. It's all about turning the country in what the rest of the world has become,

Okay, has everyone gone on vacation or what? Five days in this thread and eleven on the next most recent and not one post? I know I said quiet was good but this is almost too quiet

Just been busy working other issues....
It's a slow period right now until RemoteID hits. I'll be interested to read latest EC minutes, but I don't expect to see those before the end of August. Still can't understand why it takes them so long to get meeting minutes out to members. Staff size almost the same over the past decade, yet members down sharply, and it still takes them over a month to get EC minutes published. Mediocrity.

I guess us former military types must hold a higher standard, as it should be due to the training and instilled need to do things right the first time. Those that have never had to depend on others, just to stay alive, just don't get it and probably never will

Like Franklin says, not a lot to discuss until remote ID gets here. I am pivoting away from field flying. Bought an RC sail boat and HK Artic Cat.

I'm a hydro jockey myself, been so since 1982. Nothing like the smell of 50% nitro and seeing "rooster tails" flying first thing in the morning

My Feedback: (11)
Nah, we were float flying one morning and the sailboat guys showed up to have their little Sunday regatta and I expressed some interest so a couple of folks showed me the ropes and let me have at it with their stuff, then proceeded to spank me in 3 straight heats.
Unlike pylon racing, it was easy to keep track of which boat was mine!

My boats are a bit faster and, with all the water flying around, it's hard to keep track, especially in the first corner where anywhere from four to seven boats could be running together

rigging sails, weight and balance, etc. I am looking at building an airboat hydro though, along the lines of this but smaller:
The Artic Cat is HobbyKing's version of the Polaris that's been around forever and takes off off water or grass. I always wanted to build one, but
even though it's a foamboard plane it is a bit of work from scratch. For $37 you get everything cut, the hardware, motor mount, the carbon fiber
pieces, and graphics.
Anyway, the idea is it's an airboat that can also be flown at 20 or 30 feet above the water without worry about the FAA, registration, Remote ID, etc.
Everything else, sub-250 gram (or close enough).

My boats work in boundary air, so, unlike your fan boat, mine actually are flying. The sponsons are only there to trap the air under the boat and act like outriggers to prevent the boat from trying to roll over and stabilize it during the turns.

Isn't that guy trying to do the same?
