I did not get a ballot in the mail. I called the AMA and ask where is my Ballot? They told me to write down on a piece of paper who I wanted to vote for and send it to Muncie,IN and my Vote would be counted...........sure they will.
I wonder if the EC voting is just a big farce? The accounting firm in Richmond,Indiana will take votes written on scrap paper?
I wonder how many votes the AMA HQ sends on scrap paper? To think about it last year we voted for the EC president and no one I know voted for the elected president. Oh the AMA HQ told me "no one ever votes anyway"

It would seem that there is ongoing bridge consturction at the edges of this forum. There certainly are enough of them having taken up residence there.

Not surprised here at what you will get from AMA headquarters.
The official word is far too frequently ignored as there never seems to be adequate repercussion.

2005 Election Candidate Statements
Elections are being held for the offices of AMA Executive Vice President and District Vice President in Districts III, VII, and XI. All Open Adult members (19 or older) will receive a ballot to vote for the office of executive vice president. Only Open Adult members in Districts III, VII, and XI. will receive a ballot to vote for vice president in his or her district. Only these ballots will be accepted. Ballot reproductions are not valid. Each member who votes shall submit one ballot only. Votes must be postmarked by November 14, 2005.
Only ballots that are mailed to the Post Office box of our Auditors—Brady, Ware & Schoenfeld—will be valid. Each year several ballots are received at AMA Headquarters. Ballots received at AMA Headquarters will not be counted.

Like government and local police forces -- just who in _ell can or will do anything about it? The majority of the voting AMA membership appears to prefer tip-toeing back-slapping comedians over those dedicated souls that wish to foster the sport of model aviation.

Your report would be more enhanced with a name of the staff person to whom you spoke. [:-]

It wasn't so long ago you reported that another group of forgotten members didn't get their ballots either. How soon they forget. Anyhowz, I've seen to it that you'll get more than one vote - on a ballot form that ain't going to Munchie. I mailed it direct to Columbus, OH. [>:]

It's simple. I do not believe your account of what happened and I do consider it a joke. Just my opinion, having talked to most of the AMA staff more than once.

Well since you know the staff....they ask me my AMA number, looked in the return mail, then told me I could only vote for Executive VP. Told me most members did not vote. "send your ballot on a hand written paper to Muncie and your vote would count" And the person I talked to was a Guy. As you wallow in your joke understand the system did not deliver a ballot to my mail box. I was not the only member who did not get a ballot. I don't have time to make up stories.

As Horrace pointed out, you can not get a ballot by requesting one. If you want credability, you have going to have to put a name with this "guy" amd disclose your AMA number. It is strange, to start with, that you reached a male in your quest... if it took place at all... which again, I strongly doubt.
BTW, what is your AMA number? Be aware that if you post it, it may bring additional corrospondence... and not from me.
