I think Doc speaks for a number of AMA members in our mid to late 70's. We have carried the ball long enough, at local and national levels. Its time for the younger guys with all the ideas to improve the clubs and the AMA to step up to the plate and take their turn. It can't take much more time than some spend here pushing their agendas.

Dang Red, I got a birthday next week, but I ain't that old yet (44)...hope to be one day however. And don't get me wrong, I don't mind helping out nor lending assistance, but I think for me there are already some capable people in control of my District and there are some suitable candidates on the ballot. My plate is full with a full-time job that requires about 60 hours a week minimally, a teenage daughter at home, and a son in college. I had rather spend my free time building or flying. I am sure that is the same thoughts as the "younger" crowd, but for me I am thankful there are some retired or semi-retired individuals out there who are willing and able to lead. I for one am not losing any sleep at night over their leadership skills. If the AMA was the only thing I had to worry about in my life, I would be as happy as a pig in slop. I guess it is all about priorities and deciding which battles are worth fighting.

Live Wire-

Other things being more or less equal, I tend to vote for the oldest guy. Reason is, once in they tend to be there for life. That being the case there is only one option for having reasonable limits on term in office...........
