This poll is from the "Academy of Model Aeronautics
District II New Jersey / New York / Europe"
Thought it would be interesting to see a nationwide sample.

If you are operating within an AMA Chartered Club's facility, the UMA is NOT recognized and you therefore place all in jeopardy. Therefore AMA is the proper choice.
As an AMA member, and NOT a Charter Club designated Introductory Pilot while on that CC's facility, you are allowed to instruct a non-member ONE time (flight) while using a model OTHER than the student's model.
Of course the above ruling is absolutely pure nonsense, but like government, AMA originates a tremendous amount of pure nonsense. If needed, and you are an honest person, you can purchase the student's airplane for $1.00, and write a receipt/bill of sale. After the flight, then make him a present of the model.
AMA fences are generally very short and can easily be walked around.
