I for one would rather have some one in the EVP position that will step on some toes and ruffle some feathers and truly has the good of the hobby as a whole in mind, than some one that will walk the party line to benefit a pet project.

Seeing everyone who questions or disagrees with you as the enemy IS a problem.
Being unable to respond to someone who challenges your position or comments without childish personal attacks IS a problem.
Having an ax to grind that will dominate working relationships IS a problem.
Based on his comments here, I'm aware that Horrace has been involved with several different organizations. The Air Force, United Airlines, AMA and Jetero RC club. If I had a dollar for everytime Horrace has gone out of his way to trash the leaders of all of those organizations I'd have enough for several nice nights out of the town with my wife. It seems to me that Horrace has an issue with leadership no matter where he is involved. I'm convinced that he will, at best, be ineffective on the EC, and at worst a disruptive influence that will make it difficult for the EC to function responsibly as a whole.
I don't believe he can work well with anyone who questions or disagrees with him. It's either his way or the highway, or a childish personal attack. He's demonstrated in spades, and not only on this board.

The main reason I quit the DVP position was personal, yet it is contained within these volumes. Wanna' know? Go search for it.
I left the airline because I made it to age 60 and the Federal Government said that age 60 and over was too old to be a FAR Part 121 pilot.

Along about that time, the Freq. Chairman resigned. Our dealings with FCC may have been very effective, but maybe not exactly proper, so I decided I had had enough wheeling and dealing. I resigned also.

C'mon STL. Make the bet. One new $1 bill. Overnighted. It's the symbolism not the cash. Pictures of the loser mailing it and the winner opening it.

Besides, its not gonna do a bit of good for our little club no matter who wins. 1 died yesterday, so we are down to 11 now with nobody around with any interest at all in joining. Most of these little towns in this part of the country only have a limited # of members anyway. Toy planes, elec or glow just don't seem to interest people like they use to anymore

I said I never bet over a buck on anything, an stl backed out on his own words above, so I'll just forget the whole thing. If a man's word isn't any good.... well what can I say.

Hows the trees looking down around there? We always try to get down around Jasper an Mt. Judea in the fall to see the leaves turning in the fall. Some of the prettiest an nicest M/C roads I've found are around there.
