I see very little difference between the two forums, RCU or the other. Maybe the other is a little less tolerant of immature behavior. The infighting and bickering seem to go on and on over there, also.

And ol Brad Paul will stick his big fat nose in here, and copy and paste exactly what you say over on the AMA Forum. I put him almost on the same level as Red.

Glad to hear someone out there is intolerant of the behavior. I have watched civil and informative threads get reduced to childish insults being hurled at one another here and on other websites. Maybe I will frequent the AMA forums instead of RC Universe. And its only a few fouling this forum.

There are a couple of members (sadly both from Florida) who go out of their way to make sure that anyone with whom they don't agree are cast in the worst possible light. One of them is Brad Paul, the other is Red. I'd advise staying as far as possible from both of these characters (you can insert the appropriate other terms of endearment). Red is very knowledgeable of all things electric and electronic (I'll give him that) but in the past couple of years has become very bitter. What Brad Paul has contributed to the hobby is beyond me. No one that I know ever heard of him until recently. He pops in here every now and then, and slings some fecal matter, and disappears. I think that most of his posting is done over on the RCG site. I can't say for sure, since I was banned from that site several months ago, and don't go there even to look any longer. Stick with us here, and have fun.

What organization is in control of the moderation of the AMA forum run by AMA?
It the AMA itself, right?
So until AMA itself shuts down the garbage flow from its blindfaith members on its own site,
who are we to guess at what muncie wants in an online discussion of AMA.... their actions so far have shown they are content with the garbage flow on thier board. The obvious and repeated harassment of KE in violation to the rules at site get no action by the mods, so when the mods allow garbage posts you get a garbage board. Hoss wasnt banned for Abuse or Harassment, but a technical violation of Masked Vulgarity (profane consecutive use of the letter 'X')

Yes, the world is a safer place
now that we dont have Hoss typing the letter X so much
on AMA's garbage bickering board


Lets just get a starving college student, unbiased with no affiliation for or against the AMA,
and pay them $50 a week to get all Judge Roy Bean to bring OUR board back under control.
Once some folks get learnt by RoyBean that they are not above the law as writ by AMA Board Admin,
including Harassment of View,
they will behave after they get a couple Week/2Week/30day bans

Well, I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with AMA. Two different people tried to help me out. They transferred me to one of the computer guys. Left a message for him and hopefully he will call back.

Couple more phone calls and I'm in. Part of the problem was that I'm a 20th century guy. I've posted several places, so you should go there as quick as you can.

There is now an AMA control line forum. That is good news. Bad news is that many folks are having the same sort of problems I did.
