what is gold stickering?
what is gold stickering? and were can you get it done? I have a old Airtronics Vanguard I got from my wifes grandfather. There is a gold sticker on the bottom already but he has not used it in a few years.

Check RCM for a Radio Repair Shop
Back in the day, (early 90s), when they went from wide-band to narrow-band channel spacing (It was a Federal Law I believe), the gold sticker was a narrow-band verification. Didn't have the sticker you were not able to fly for interference reasons. Not used now on the newer equipment because the spec has been in place for so long. Hope this mostly accurate info helps.

Might Have it Checked to be safe
If you havn't had it checked in a couple of years, might be a good idea to have checked anyway. Also check and cycle the trans and receiver batteries. Batteries are cheap compared to building a new plane and buying another engine.
