Is it me?

I normally wait till the last minute to renew my AMA every year. Doing it online pretty much makes it effective immediately. This year seems like I'm getting more than the usual "reminders". Any one else notice it?
Merry Christmas.

If you know someone's last name and AMA number you can check their current status here:

. Either way, my AMA number is my AMA number...I paid extra for it... and Red S. has zero need to verify it and certainly has Zero right to display it at his whim...

lol, you act as if your AMA # is your SSN. Most flying sites require you to post your AMA card on the board. Anyone can read it, hell, my AMA number is on all my planes. You really shouldn't worry about it, it isn't like someone can steal your identity if they have your last name and your AMA #

Been lurking here, but this post is puzzling. Why would anyone go to the bother of getting a custom AMA number and then get all bent out of shape when it appears on a forum in a reminder to renew?

What is even more puzzling to me and actually quite strange to me is that someone from Florida…hmmm… just joined RCU…hmmm… and promptly attacks me for my concerns about the display of my personalized AMA number...why Red would post my number in the first place is even crazier…and is the something I wish you might or could shed some light on to help me understand why he would do such a thing. Any ideas???

Wow. This ''red'' fellow sure weighs heavy on a lot of people's minds. Did he kill a child or something?

Naw, he didn't do anything like that. You would have had to have been here through all the angst and stuff. He used to be a nice guy, but fell in with the electric crowd.

When Red was made a moderator here on RCU, my searches failed to find many postings that I remembered, as signed by Red, yet NOT favorable to AMA. Amazing how some things do disappear . Tools do that on my work benches, yet when I do a real clean-up, I seem to find they have just been hiding their little selves from me. However those postings have not reappeared as my tools so often do. [sm=confused.gif]
