I joined after a 16 year hiatus, via paypal.
A month has gone by, and all I got so far is the email from paypal. Thats it. Nothing else. I guess when I get time next week, I will have to start some folow up, but it sure seems pretty quiet on their end. No welcome via email, prinatable proof, anything.
Oh well. Just a little irratating.

I hope you are not serious, I just want to join as a new member, could care less about the member number from many years ago.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have addressed this issue with my DVP. We'll see what we can do about this.

BTW, you should have been able to print out proof of membership from joining online and received an email with membership verification. IIRC, I did get an email with a temp date in it. But it's been in a while so don't hold me to that.

We'll definitely work on the welcoming email though.

I renewed via PayPal for this year, and within hours got an Email confirmation, as advertised. It's as good as a membership card for a limited period. If you did not get such a response, something has fallen through cracks. Time to call Membership Dept at AMA to see what gives.
