number of fields

There is only one AMA flying field. That is Muncie, IN.
All others are privately owned, local landowners, cities, counties, parks, etc.
"I was trying to find out ..." What did you find out when you WERE trying ....?

http://www.modelaircraft.org/membership/clubs.aspx There you will find out that THERE are about 2400 AMA Chartered Clubs in the United States. If you contact the Membership Department, you can purchase a mailing list of all the Chartered Clubs. Costs about 90 yankee dollars, or it did a couple years ago.
Then you can contact each club and ask each club just how many fields each club has. Nuttin' to it! [sm=47_47.gif]

My Feedback: (5)
Open Google Earth and go to this real cool link. Based on my knowledge of fields around here, it seems to be pretty accurate.
