Why have you come on here to be pissed? Go somewhere else with your problem, somewhere it might have reason. It doesn't belong here. Your complaint is about your website and a club you have made a link to. What does this have to do with the AMA?

I don't think "adware”, pop-ups, and browser spoofing / hijacking" are criminal (yet). In fact, I doubt many of the AMA folks that got the email would even know what the technical/ethical issues are. Personally, I would have simply responded to the email with a polite, "You must be mistaken" message, but your approach is valid as well. The sooner we get lawyers up to speed on Internet ethics and law, the better.

Well, as far as I know, the AMA doesn't have a police force. What is the AMA going to do, tell you that you're no longer a member? Fella, this is petty crap! Forget about it!

yeah it really sucks that with a click of a button a person can be wrongly accused of something, then without proof, distribute their dialogue to large groups of people.

Maybe I should not have posted this thread according to a few of you. I understand, I am just getting off my chest something that happened and thought some might be interested in what some people are doing.

Just remember, I never slandered anyone, I am just reporting what has happened here.

I think everyone on this board or that has replyed would agree with you that if someone did that to them they would be as pissed as you....... BUT the simple thing to have done is to reply all and defend your site and say that you were sorry for AMA getting mail that should have stayed between 2-4 ppl < due to club officers> and then do a good check of your site and see if the claims are real or if maybe the Webmaster of the other site had spyware etc on his comp and didnt know it.

When I said it would come and bite you, As you can see im right. Go ahead and fight full steam with your money pit.... err lawyer cause the only thing your going to win is a lawyer with a smile.

The site has been scanned for any spyware by 6 people now.
There never has or will be anything like that going on.

The lawyer owes me work anyway and a simple C&D will suffice.
I want a retraction and apology sent to all the people he CC'd.
