Hey. My reactor 3d ep from great planes caught on fire....the esc mustve been overloaded and burst to flames when i was using a new motor. Although the motor was almost exactly the same as the original that id been flying with, it still sparked the esc. after cleaning up the mess from the fire extinguisher I noticed Ididnt have a plane to fly!!!! I am now looking at a new ARF,PNP, or RTFplane. I really want to get the spektrum dx6i and a reciever with it ($200 total) because many people at my club own them and love them. My total budget is around $450 and with the spektrum and rx taking off 200... i have 250 left to spend. I like 3D planes, warbirds, and other scale planes. This will be my fourth plane and Iam very good at flying so difficulty of the model is not an issue for me. I was wondering if anyone recommends or knows of a good plane that fits my categories. I was hoping to buy off of redrockethobbies.com because they have always served me well, but if there are any other websites or sellers pleeeeeeaaaaassseee let me know! Can't wait to get in the air again!</p>

Yes, HK has a U.S. warehouse but don't expect to see much there. Most everything comes from China. And now their shipping cost have sky rocketed. Also, it looks like they now must ship through Swiss instead of directly to the U.S. through California. My last shipment I asked for Express shipping, advertised as 3 to 4 days. I didn't get the shipment for two weeks. LHS look beter and better.

Thanks for the speedy answers! But i was looking for a specific plane. escpecially e flite, hangar 9, Parkzone, or other well known companies. I dont want to order planes from hobbyking because of there long shipping times...i only order motors, servos, etc from them. I was hoping to get a plane soon so HK really isnt something Im looking at right now. Redrockethobbies would be the best for me! Thanks.

Parkzone T-28 is such a fun plane.   Not 3D by any means but you can crank up the rates and change the throws and it's a ton of fun!    On top of that is one of the most stable planes I've ever flown.    For a foamie, its still comfortable in 20mph winds, it'll fly in faster but its just not as fun.

Thanks everyone for all of your answers! Especially briangp. I was looking under the parkzone warbirds and I chose the bf 109 BNF. It got great reviews, but is said to be a challenge to land. I like a challenge so I figured this plane would help me improve my skills. I bought it with the dx6i and also bought the servos for the flaps. Thanks!

Let me know how that plane works out for you, I've been looking around at some of the others, but they just didn't have the appeal to me. Never flown a tail dragger foamie either, so I'd be curious if you can take off on grass.
