Does anyone have the H9 Aresti with a two stroke engine mounted at neg 45 degrees?
I'm thinking of putting the new OS 50 in it, but I'd like to tuck the muffler underneath the bottom of the cowl rather than it sticking out on the side with the up-side down mount plan they have.
If so, I'd love to hear how it went and maybe see a picture.

The thrust line is way too high and the firewall has the right thrust built in, the mount has to be offset to the left. Also the firewall is drilled and has blind nuts installed for their mount. The only way you could get away with the muffler down the belly is to have a really long header extension and run it without a cowl. Best solution would be a nice Pitts style muffler if your field allows them. Here's a picture of mine. That is a lot of hardware hanging off the side.

It's a Rossi .45 with the Rossi mini-tuned silencer. I'm still waiting for my radio, so I don't know how it will perform on the Aresti. It was way too much motor for my Magic 3D. This should be a good combo. Hope the Aresti flies as good as it looks.

Those aresti's do fly good. But they don't fly like a magic. They fly smooth and fast and wild and crazy like a funfly. But they are a nice airplane. I am sure you will like it.
