<span class=''Apple-style-span'' style=''font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(251, 252, 255); ''>Got the funtana back in the air this weekend for about 7 flights. since I couldnt get the darn thing to balance very well without adding 2 ounces of lead to the nose I ended up going with a 7s setup<span style=''color: rgb(0, 0, 255); ''><span style=''font-size: smaller; ''>(3s & 4s zippy 5000 in series)</span></span> and a xoar 18x8 on it. Also moved rudder out of the tail and made it a pull-pull. Im getting around 2200 watts using the logging in the ICE 100 to measure.

Components:
~ Hacker A50-12L
~ 10 amp castle BEC @6.5v
~ RX AR7000
~ Rudder & Ailerons 7775MG & 5245MG on elevator (53 degrees throw)
~ Castle ICE 100 (<span style=''color: rgb(0, 0, 255); ''><span style=''font-size: smaller; ''>Settings are at Med timing advance (5)(default) and 12khz for the pwm</span></span><span style=''color: rgb(0, 102, 0); ''><span style=''font-size: smaller; ''>.</span></span>)
~ Xoar 18x8 (<span style=''color: rgb(0, 0, 255); ''><span style=''font-size: smaller; ''>Now I think it would do much better with a 18x10 but I couldnt find one so I will have to order.</span></span><span style=''color: rgb(51, 153, 102); ''> </span>)
~ 7s setup <span style=''color: rgb(0, 0, 255); ''><span style=''font-size: smaller; ''>(<span style=''color: rgb(0, 0, 255); ''>3s & 4s zippy 5000 in series 20c</span>)
</span></span>
~ 85 amps at WOT - 2200 watts
~ weight 9.6lb

Now that I have a position where it will fly neutral maybe I can get a 6s setup back in it to cut that 4oz of extra weight. Overall the plane did really descent 3D. I am going to go ahead and grab thecarbon fiber LG. I would also like to find a source for some good nylon bolts for the LG and SFGs etc. So if anyone knows where to get 3 & 4 mm nylon bolts I would love to know. (socket head prefered but not really holding my breath).</span>
My local hardward store (Ace Hardward) handles a good selection of 1/4-20 nylon bolts. Very nice and very cheap. Sometimes the obvious choices get overlooked.
Thanks

<hr />All you need to do is Tap the landing gear block for the size of nylon bolt you want to use. Works Good. Capt,n 1/4x20 is easy to do.

Some photos of my Funtana 100x I took today 12/2/2011. It was cold and there was a slight amount of snow on the grass this early am. Capt,n

I think it is the stock landing gear that came with it. I bought the airplane used (crash victim) and done lots of repairs. I will call the Guy I bought it from and ask. They seem like nice landing gears. So in all I got a airplane cheap...had to do lots of repair...and it is a nice flying airplane, but has to be handeled carefully and landed smooth. I do like it for now....but there is far betterI am sure. Capt,n

I havent found any the right size here although I did take a small bit of rubber and use it between the LG and fuselage, I also switched over to the carbon Fiber LG to get that bigger prop on it. So far no troubles

I think this is going to be what I end up doing as trying to find the right netric nylon bolt isnt as easy as I thought it would be.

FYI: finally got a little more weight of this plane before the season ended and man the lighter I get this thing the better it 3Ds. I am finally starting to really enjoy the plane. I did have to move the rudder servo out of the tail to get it to balance but it wasnt too hard.
