Default Phoenix Jupiter

I just started putting my jupiter together I glued the horz stab on and then realized I had put it 1 3/116 to far forward because what the inst. say is center the stab I thought that meant side to side.
the picture also shows it being assembled with the stab all the way forward so I had to make a filler piece to go behind the stab so I could glue the vertical to it.
Tower's website say's this plane needs 6 servos the box also shows this plane with 2 tail mounted elv. servos this is not true the elv. servo is mounted in the fuse and has 2 pushrods that are connected together at the servo.
I will be using a ASP 61 four stroke on this plane and even though I bought the engine new from nitroplanes NO inst. came with the engine it is the same as a magnum 61fs can someone suggest a break in prop and a good range of props for sport flying. Thanks Greg

Is this the plane that you bought? If so it does say 2 elevator servos and it's a .46 aircraft. A 12 x 6 or 12 x 7 seems to be the popular prop for the ASP.61FS.

Yes that is the plane the picture on tower's website AND on the box show tail mounted servos there does not seem to be any cutouts for mounting servos in the tail my post was really about the misleading instructions and pictures in the instructions.Greg

Every now and then whoever does the writeups etc. for the models make silly mistakes that should never happen. I just completed assembling an ARF sports/ aerobatic electric park flier and the hardware supplied was for a tail mounted rudder servo, while the instruction manual gave details for installing an in fuse mounted pull pull rudder servo. A lot of these lower cost ARF models look real pretty with their bright colours and attractive colour schemes but the QC needed to make them really good is sadly missing.

I am also putting together the Jupiter. I have the tail and rudder glued on, the wing servos are in, and today i will be putting in the fuse. servos , and the tail wheel.
Your right, they show 2 tail mounted tail servos on the box.
This will be my second 4 stroker. I have one in a GP Escapade. I have the Magnum 52 in that one. Have you used ASP engines before. So far i am happy with the Magnum, but i am looking for an engine with a little bit more power, and not to expensive. Will check out the ASP. Good luck with your Jupiter.

Just checked out the ASP engines. From what I've read, ASP and Magnum are the same. The only thing that might keep from buying it, is the ASP comes with no warranty. I wonder if i use the Magnum 72 4 stroke?
