I got an ARF from China yesterday and laid a lot of the parts on my work bench on a big white towel. This morning while examining a small part with my glasses on I discovered a couple very small mite/spyder looking bugs. Not sure they were out of the Chinese box, but I sure have not seen them before.. Any one else on China boxes? I loaded up the shop with raid and closed the doors. Thanks Brian

Yes, I've seen these bugs B4. The species is native to china and is found commonly if manufacturing provences. The scientific name is Consumatatious dolloritis. The bugs have infected the US job markets and are a real threat to the US economy. DO NOT allow them near your wallet nor check book!!!

I certainly agree. It has been on my mind even before this issue. I do plan to search out American made, or non Chinese model items as much as possible from here on out. Brian

Wish I would have tried. I sprayed heavy Raid and vacuum-ed. They were "very" small and I'm not sure if my 12 meg camara would have showed them. You got a lot of bugs in H-ville..??

I thought you were kidding.
.. They actually looked like "very small" round spyders, blond/cream colored almost transparent looking. I put on 2 pair of reading glasses and round with a head and legs all around is all I can really remember, explain. Creeped me out wondering how many others I had in my shop as I had the big box and parts scattered around. They must have had to live in the box for 3 months to be shipped here from China. If they came from China. I have never seen anything like it before here or anywhere else in my 71 yrs of life. Brian

as i thought.
Nymph bedbugs. They can live in any warm climate for a long time without food, so i suppose that the box bugs are these. Here's the link to story-http://myenvirocare.com/pestblog/201...about-bedbugs/ Raid won't kill them. Get some of this powderd small insect killer-http://www.dirtworks.net/Diatomaceous-Earth.and put some in the box as well as sticky bug catcher pads. You can find all of this stuff at Lowe's or Home DePot. put these down and come back the next 36 hours and see if you caught anything.

Well that looks close to the color, but not the shape. These were round. That I'm sure of. if you draw a circle about the size of a straight pin head and then put a head and legs all around the body that stick out no further than the head is what these looked like. Still creeps me out.!!
