My experience with Great Planes

So a few weeks ago I bought a Great Planes Matt Chapman Eagle 580. Ireceived the kit a few days later, opened up the box to do a check of all the parts, and the fuselage had a huge dent in the side, not easily repairable. I then called them and sent the whole kit back. Then they sent me a new fuselage back, butI sent to the whole kit back so I'm stuck with a fuselage now. I call Great Planes to tell them what happened, and they sent me out a whole new kit. This kit also had fuselage damage from the shipping, not the chinese factory, and once again, not repairable. I did notice I had the spare fuse they also sent me, so I ended up taking the spare fuse they sent me, and sending the 2nd damaged fuselage back. Great Planes said sorry for the confusion several times, and paid for all shipping, so probably at least $100.00 in shipping. I just wanted to say how great Great Planes customer service is, and I'm very happy!

I've purchased several planes from GP/Tower, and luckily never had any damage. Recently ordered a replacement fuse for my wrecked 50cc Reactor, and UPS beat the crap outta the box, smashing the vertical stab. Called Tower, after taking pics before and after opening box, and they had me send fuse back, and sent me another. They filed the claim with UPS; I was very happy with the way they handled it.
Now just waiting on them for the tailset in the same order; it was missing the rudder in the first, damaged order, so I sent all of that back too. They sent another, but still missing a rudder! Supposed to hear back from customer service this week on that...

Yeah they have always been pretty great to work with. I recently called them about my Escapade. The elevators were not attached correctly and did not line up on the preinstalled elevator/horzontal stab assembly and one of the wing panles was warped. They sent out a whole new wingset and tail set. It looks like an Escapade warehouse in may garage now!
