Was wondering how folks like this plane, thinking of pulling the trigger on it and would like any feed back y'all might have... The good, bad, or ugly!!

That's a great looking ARF and the price is really good! Wish I could help you. If you buy one let me know what you think. I am looking at the AW 50CC ULT. It's about twice the money.

Will do David..
I looked at the AW as well and it looks nice, but this one looks nice as well and a whole lot less $$$$..
If you should come across any reviews on it, please let me know...

I just received an AW 50cc Ultimate that I had ordered. Let's just say it is an amazing looking ARF. Also, I know all of the hardware will be usable. It is a biy heavier and a 68 inch wing span instead of 71 like this one the OP is looking at. Notice when you open the larger picture in the ad that it has "Gold Wing" aircraft embossed over the picture. Their ad for the plane is [link=http://www.goldwingrc.com/en/ProductView.asp?ID=102]here[/link]. This site [link=http://milehighrc.com/Ultimate_50CC.html]here[/link] here is selling the Goldwing 50cc Ultimate for $499 shipped. Be carefull who you order from. Many unscrupulous dealers will steal photos and specs from other ads and use it to advertise a similar plane that is not the same. I am in no way saying the ad you found is not legitimate. You may have found the best deal on a 50cc ultimate available on the net... or you found another Chinese knock off with rip-off advertising. (Goldwing is a Chinese ARF anyway as are most)

Well I've dealt with GMP and know them quite well. They are a very good dealer, and I can say that yes This is a goldwing model as I've been to they're warehouse and seen it when I bought my 30cc MX.

Its pretty much like the AW. I have a AW 50cc Ultimate with a DLE 55 running a 21x8 prop. To this day I have flowen the plane only 4 times. The reason is that the firewall keeps being pulled out! There is really NO WAY to get to it! On the last pull out I took and pulled it out and Hysuled the heck out of it!! I was ready to dump it!! I contact AW and the only thing Rosco said was "YOU ARE OVER POWERING IT". Now I bought this from TBM.... The GW 50cc Ultimate comes really with the same hardware....... Soometimes I wonder if its not the same factory...... Anyway, Yes, the GW Ultimate flies GREAT!! And the firewall doesn't come out!! This is my 2 cents worth.... I may catch some crap on this..But this was all done before I got GMP....

You wont catch crap for that. At least you have experience with both planes. That is more tham most of us can say. Now I also know I need to reinforce the firewall on my AW Ultimate.

I was thinking of going with the DLE 55 in the GW, do you think that is a good fit for it?

Thanks!! Mr67!! insure you do the TOP of the firewall from on side to the other! There is no tri-stock in there. It kept pulling apart at the top from side to the other side... I can send you apicture if not sure where I am talking.

Mustain40... The DLE55 pulls it GREAT!!! That is a great combo.... BUT... we have also put the SE-56 in it... OH MY!!!!! FATASTIC PERFORMANCE!!! We are never above half!!! Hover is a little over 1/4.. UNLIMITED 2 clicks BELOW HALF!!! The SE is a GREAT motor, had has GREAT response!!

Again this is my 2 cents worth!
