Default Hangar 9 Pulse XT 40

Hey guys for some reason I cant find much info on this plane, its been out awhile but not having much luck. I recently bought one at my local hobby shop and set it up electric and put in a eflite power 46, 60amp ESC on a 5 cell with a 13x8 apc e-prop. Was wandering if anybody else is flying on this setup.

My flying seaon (outside anyway) has ended for this year. Your plane and setup are what I'm planning on for the spring. Let us know how it flies. How many watts are you getting?

l have had this plane for 4 years now absolutely LOVE it.
BUT l have an evolution 46 glow in it. l had a fellow club member fly it and he loved it so much he went out and got the xt60 and powered it electric and just loves his setup as well.
the plane is a great all round flyer - no matter which size or power setup it flies fast, it flies slow, it flies upside down - it just does what you ask it to. it is not an aerobatic performer per se but a great all purpose plane. and it looks GREAT to boot. visibility of it is very good under many conditions. it hasnt shown any bad habits.
like any plane of its type spend a few minutes to reinforce the landing gear mount area a hard landing can pop the gear and mount area out from fuselage. (just carefully drop in some balsa or lite ply "braces" and epoxy to anchor the mounting plate)
if anything happened to the plane l would definitely buy another (and probably go electric with it). it has flown 4 full years 1.5 as a primary plane, and then a year as a secondary and is now third string but a favourite fallback plane.
l can put a newbie on it, yet go wild with it as well. it is a fabulous sunday flier type craft.
you will enjoy it l guarantee.

Sweet I'm looking forward to flying it on 5 cells. I flew it on 4 cells which is the recommended setup but it seemed kinda sluggish and I had to fly it wide open. So I'm thinking 5 cells is the way to go

I've got a Pulse XT 40. It has a Efilte Power 46, Castle creations 80 ESC, and a APC 13X6.5prop. I power it with a 5S1P 3750mah battery.
It flies great. There are couple of youtube videos of it's flight.
I've had a couple of Pulse XT 60's but they were destroyed by being overpowered. I was really scared to get another Pulse but I also thought
that if I didn't over power it it might survive. So far it has and it has been reliable, clean, and truely wonderfull to fly. We even used it as a test
bed for other motor, prop, and battery combinations.

Yeah I'm hoping to get a flight in mine here in the next few days. Although a cold front has moved in and winds are terrible. My first flight was with the recommended setup which was a 14.8v system. It flew great but I just thought it was kinda underpowered so I switched to 5 cells
