I'm sure he's trying but I'm afraid the world doesn't work the way he thinks it works. I guess he sounded good at the time ( I never bought it) but its not working out well. It's time to let him go.

The point is what the current president is doing about it. He can't fix it. Romney has much more life experiences to draw from to be successful.

You're right. I would recommend reading or getting a sample of "Reckless Endangerment" by Gretchen Morgenson and Joshua Rosner. A lot of the policies that let to the housing bubble were made during the Clinton years. Talk about good intentions gone bad.

I agree, Obama is not the problem, however a huge part of it. There is a never-ending source of crap in congress and if there were a political man or woman that chose right doing it would not last long as darkness would be at every corner to overtake them. What good could last in the cesspool we call government?

Maybe not all are affected by the economic downturn in RC, yet I do imagine many are indirectly affected in one way or another.

My only concern with Romney, and why I could never support him, is that he will set America 40 years back socially speaking. He will screw over the middle class every way he can. He will involve us in even more wars. I genuinely believe he will do more damage to the US than if we spent four years without a president at all.


If you want to see America spiral even further down the tubes put Romney in office. If you want a chance at recovery put literally anyone else in.

I don't think we will go further down the tubes with Romney. Just the change alone will give the country a boost, yet personnally I don't care for him or Obama as presidents. My question is, since you cannot put anyone else in office now, what can you do? If you vote for anyone else, then that is probably a vote going Obama's way.

BTW we must realize politics are relevant to our RC hobby.

Re: on topic. No, as a recent retiree I'm no longer burdened with worrying about a job. RC priorities will continue on without much change. I've been flying long enough where a new plane is more about where to put it than whether to buy it or not. Worst case, I would have to start selling off some stuff, which probably wouldn't be a bad idea anyway? That would be a little extra money AND room for new "stuff"!

Re: politics, I have my thoughts, but I'm not going to discuss them here - other than 2 points. First, we'll be fine even if the guy you or I prefer doesn't win. Second, much bigger point, is you are a complete and total POS if you don't take the time and trouble to get off your ***** and vote.... no excuses!

Let's see here...Romney will oppress gay rights. Romney will raise taxes on the middle class. Romney will bail out companies that ship jobs overseas. Romney will oppress women's rights. Romney will allow the corporations to dictate who does and doesn't live by leaving the healthcare industry private. Romney will only cut taxes for the rich, the middle class he doesn't care about...he even outright admitted as much...and he will continue to raise taxes on the middle class and poor while gutting vital benefits programs that keep our elderly, sick and needy from starving.


You want to live in a country where half of the population is oppressed? You want to live in a country where your own parents and grandparents cannot afford their pills and medical bills? You want to live in a country where they have no retirement money because social security and medicare were gutted? You want to live in a country where you have to literally work every day until you die because there is no social security to draw on and there's no laws guaranteeing retirement benefits? You want to screw yourself and your own family over? Vote for Romney.


It has nothing to do with liberalism. I have no party affiliations. I don't care if they're red, blue, grey, green, pink, or covered in polka dots. I don't care if they're the meanest SOB to ever walk the earth. I don't care if they pray to their car every day. I would happily vote GOP if the GOP candidate was in favor of equality and giving everyone a fair shot at retirement and easily affordable healthcare. However, that's not the case with Romney, so he isn't getting my vote. Neither is obama for that matter, while he doesn't want to plunge us into the dark ages he also doesn't have the stones to strong-arm Congress into behaving itself. I'm probably going to write in my lawnmower or something.

I am not a Repub, but an independent Patriot, and buy the way, it really dosen't matter if Obama Wins the election, the Bengazzi, Libia scandle that let Americans die while the White House watched in real time is allready starting the drumbeat of Impeachment, so I have nothing to worry about, You wont know this yet since PMS NBC is not covering that fact!

Obama must go! I have worked my rear off all my life to support myself and others should expect to have to do the same!
