60 Size Extra 300S ARF Which One
#2
I have owned a hobbico which was pretty ggod. One of the best knife edgers Ive owned. I had a 60 engine on mine but Im sure a 4 stroke 90n would have been much better. But that was long ago, there must be other good as well or better. Im sure others will post their opinions.

I haven't seen their 60 size, but have checked out the Kangke/Super Kraft 40 size Extra and it is a very good quality plane. It's an Extra, so I'm sure it'll fly great. The 60 size looks the same, just scaled up a little bit.

Yup, I had the 60 size Kangke too. Changed the rudder to a pull-pull and upgraded the elevator pushrod to carbon fiber. The plane flew like a tank with a Saito 1.20 and I was thinking about retiring it. Then on a whim, I replaced the engine with a OS .91 surpass I had laying around. After that it became my favorite plane. Knife edges where a breeze and it flew extremely well. I was using it to practice the IMAC manuevers and lost it due to a failed clevis on the pull-pull. Put a good not to heavy 4 stroke on it and you will be a happy camper.
The landing gear is kinda flimsy and doesn't take rough landings well, the wheels are a little to small for thick grass and the hardware is kinda chinsy but the plane itself is very well built and flies like it is on rails. If you choose a Kangke replace all of the above and you will like it.
I am going to replace mine with the Vector flight though because I kinda prefer sheeted foam wings and the vector is cheaper.

If the Yellow Aircraft Extra is anything like their Cap, I'd highly recommend it. Our Cap flies very well. I did see a guy fly a YA extra in Basic Imac. It looked very good and presented itself well.

The Graupner Extra is a best buy, and great flyer. 179.00 and the workmanship is superb. Flies like a dream with an OS 61. There are now three at our field-- one with a magnum 80, and one other one with an old Enya 60. Both of them flie great, and i Loved mine till i augered it in. I am going to get another. From Hobby Lobby.Try it-- you will love it.

Although I've yet to assemble it, I've got a [link=http://www.kmp.ca/esm/products/extra-330s.htm]ESM Extra[/link]. They claim that it's 90/120 sized, but in actuality, it's only a hair larger than my Seagull Edge. I'm guessing that it'd fly pretty good with a BB 61 2C and have unlimited with a 91 2C or 120 4C.

I have the 40 size kangke extra & I have had many arf planes. I have to say this is probably the best built arf I have seen, It is very strong & pretty light. A true value for the money spent, try one you wont be dissapointed.

Great knife edge, point rolls & snaps with an aft cg.
