Hi,
I'm upgrading an GP revolver 70 to 4-40 control rods I've been looking at which clevis to use. The two that I'm looking at are,
Dubro safety lock kwik link
Dubro kwik link metal
I think that the metal clevis would be the best option. I'm looking to see what experience others have had with these item.

I use both types with equal success. The nylon ones are larger and may not "look" right on some models where the metal ones are a bit slimmer. Use the ones that you think look best on your model. If using the metal ones with metal pushrods make sure you use nylon horns so there is no metal-to-metal contact/vibration.

Can understand your wanting to upgrade the hardware for your Revolver 70 and any other ARF that is on the market. But, I have assembled and flown (2) RV 70's and (1) RV 60, with no upgrades to the hardware, and no complaints about any of it. Seems like Great Planes ARF's do come with a decent hardware package.
I also still have in the box a new Revolver 70 that I will power with a DLE-20. No plans to upgrade its package either.

Hi All, Thanks for the reply's looks like either option will do providing check nuts are used with metal clevis. Think I will use the Dubro safety lock kwik link.
Granpooba - You must be happy with your Revolvers if you are up to your third one.

Metal clevis on one side and plastic ball links on the other. Both of these are the same, the spring just acts as the keeper that you would otherwise use a piece of tubing. The nut is then not very critical. Its got some play but nothing too bad
