Default lanier cap232 cowl

Im useing a zdz 60 on my cap. how bad did you guys have to butcher up the cowl to get it on. the pitts muffler sticks down so far I'll have to cut the whole bottom of the cowl off. is there any other way to do this.

I cut off the pipes on the muffler as close as I could while still leaving enough room for a clamp and then used some rad hose and automotive clamps to make some 50 cent extension tubes. Worked out nice.
